The Programme Manager is responsible for:
- Take charge of overseeing the content and editorial process of the libel programme, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and integrity in all published materials.
- Recruit and mentor contributors, nurturing their writing skills and journalistic ethics to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
- Strive to maintain high-quality and engaging content that educates and informs readers about issues related to libel, defamation, and media ethics.
- Actively promote the blog to a wider audience, utilizing various channels and strategies to increase visibility and reach.
- Maintain open and effective communication with the IFLRY Bureau, providing regular updates and detailed reports on the libel programme’s activities, achievements, and challenges.
- Organize Super Sunday sessions and advocacy campaigns dedicated to raising awareness about libel laws, defending freedom of speech, and advocating for fair and responsible journalism.
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations and resolutions aimed at safeguarding freedom of expression and promoting responsible journalism practices in the digital age.
