The IFLRY Human Rights programme is looking for a new Programme Manager to steer it through a successful 2015. As one of IFLRYs programmes, the HR-team focuses on the issue of human rights in connection to liberal youth politics. IFLRY can be a platform to advance the human rights position of young people in the world, by promoting and campaigning for those youth issues to which liberalism combined with human rights can really make a difference.
This means:

Developing ideas and tools for Member Organizations to incorporate the human-rights-based approach in their policies

Examining concrete cases of Human Right violations and proposing ideas towards ending those violations

Tracking cases of young political activists whose Human Rights have been denied, up until being persecuted for what they stand for.
What we expect:

A committed team leader with the ability to come up with concrete actions, as well as seeing these actions through with the team

Some knowledge about the topic, especially about the human-rights based approach towards liberal youth, is expected. Specific knowledge about certain (geographical) regions or certain specific Human Rights is welcome as well.

Theability to dedicate a several hours per week to the Programme development including the co-ordinating regular Skype meetings with the team.

You have to be an individual member of an IFLRY member organization
- Be able to participate in the first IFLRY Programme Managers meeting and training to take place between 18-19 December in Copenhagen, Denmark (travel dates are 17 and 20 December). Travel and accommodation will be fully covered. Do indicate if you are able or not to participate in the PM meeting. If you are not free, it will not affect your application but if your application is successful it would be good for you to join this meeting.
