Dear friends,
IFLRY is happy to announce that this year, we will hold two consecutive seminars on migration: one in Beirut, Lebanon, which will be held from 21 to 25 June, and one in Madrid, Spain, which will be held from 28 June to 1 July.
The aim of these seminars — which are facilitated and organized with, as well as generously supported by the Beirut and Madrid offices of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation — is to gather different perspectives on migration, and develop a liberal stance on migration issues that takes into account perspectives from Europe and the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region.
In the first seminar in Beirut, we will work on the situation in the MENA region, building a better understanding of the causes of migration there, and of the effects of migration to, in and through the region. In the second seminar in Madrid, we will focus on the effects of migration in Europe and the challenges this is posing. The seminar in Madrid will end with the participants taking part in a Mediterranean Conference organized by FNF Madrid.
We invite you to take part in these seminars, where each participant will come out having a strong network, build a strong view on humanitarian aid priorities & effectiveness in the respectful regions. We encourage activists from Europe and the MENA region to apply to these events.
We will invite some applicants to join both seminars. You can specify in the registration form whether you want to apply for either one of the seminars, or for both.
