We are pleased to announce that we as IFLRY will be able to offer a joint workshop in cooperation with our regional member organization CALD Youth from 17th until 22nd of August 2016 in Bali, Indonesia. The first part of the event aims at bolstering our understanding of the concrete policy challenges that climate change entails and how an efficient advocacy strategy might enable us to address and tackle this issue in the most promising way. We believe that it is crucial that topics of such global urgency can be communicated straightforwardly and in plain language to citizens all over the world. The second part of the event will focus more on best-practice sharing between CALD member organisations and other IFLRY-representatives.
Aligned with IFLRY’s goal of becoming a truly global organization, we would like to invite an international group of participants to this workshop. IFLRY and CALD Youth are able to provide funding for accommodation of up to four people. Unfortunately, there is no travel reimbursement available. The four IFLRY-representatives will be selected in a competitive process. Therefore, we would kindly ask you to send a short motivation letter (1 page) and your current Curriculum Vitae to office@iflry.org. Since we would like to ask participants to specifically prepare for one part of the workshop that is concerned with the exchange of best practices and capacity building, we would like you to explicitly share your experiences in the following fields: (1) campaigning, (2) political organization, and (3) lobbying. Successful candidates also sketch potential areas where they could prepare a talk on or lead a session. Please also mention a contact person in your organisation.
Deadline is the 30th of June 2016. The applicants will be notified by 2nd of July 2016.
